Our next Shelby County Democrats’ Book Group zoom is Tuesday, September 8. The zoom opens and discussion begins at 6:00 pm, and ends on time at 7:30 pm.

Anyone who wishes to join can sign up by contacting Brenda Harris at addiesgranna@gmail.com.

Our September book is “Why Fascists Fear Teachers: Public Education and the Future of Democracy” by Randi Weingarten. The book is a rousing defense of public education as the cornerstone of American democracy, by the woman attacked by the far right as “the most dangerous person in the world”. Dorothy Grimes will lead the discussion.
