Our next Shelby County Democrats’ Book Group zoom is Tuesday, June 9. The zoom opens and discussion begins at 6:00 pm, and ends on time at 7:30 pm.

Our June book is “Separation of Church and Hate: A Sane Person’s Guide to Taking Back the Bible from Fundamentalists, Fascists, and Flock-Fleecing Frauds” by John Fugelsang.  John is a comedian and the son of a former Catholic nun and a Franciscan brother.  His book delivers a deeply irreverent and biblically correct takedown of far-right Christian hatred.  This is a book for believers, atheists, agnostics, and anyone who’ll ever have to deal with a Christian nationalist. 

Cheryl Fox will lead the discussion.
