SOUTH FORWARD, a Democratic PAC committed to winning in the South, will hold essential candidate training Aug. 8th & 9th on the Samford University campus in Birmingham.
SouthForward says Democrats can win in the South! Often Democratic candidates don’t even file to run for offices that could be won with hard-fought, aggressive campaigns. We must field candidates and learn to win elections if the Party is to regain Governor’s mansions, pick up legislative chambers and regain control of the House of Representatives. The South presents a larger opportunity for Democratic gains than any other region of the country. South Forward was founded to win elections; build and strengthen institutional capacity; and recruit, train and mentor candidates and staff.
Alabama Democrats have a rare opportunity to build their skills in running campaigns and being a candidate at a very affordable price; just $75; students $35. This same training can cost $1,000s in other parts of the country.
The two day program will feature seasoned campaign professionals who are from the South and have decades of experience working in field, fundraising and communications. Registration and full schedule at http://www.southforward.com/alabama_campaign_training.
Attendees will be provided a Campaign Training Manual, which includes important tools and techniques that can be utilized throughout a campaign. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
